Jeanne Marie Boes

Meet Jeanne Marie Boes... Astoria, NY native, a singer, songwriter, musician - full of love, happiness and heartache. With her powerful, soulful and unforgettable voice along with songs, written by both her and some with her father, James, she is steadily gaining a following in her hometown and beyond. She started singing at age nine, inspired by her idol, Celine Dion. Singing along to her records, she'd put on shows for her family in their living room. She started playing piano at about age twelve and has since dabbled in violin, guitar and electric bass.

Jeanne Marie has garnered attention from many local music blogs, newspapers and magazines over the years, and has had her music aired on many online and terrestrial radio stations in the US.

She has opened for Wayne Brady, The Slim Kings, and more - and has performed live at WNYC Radio Studios, SOFAR Sounds, Rockwood Music Hall, The Bitter End, Bowery Electric, The Metropolitan Room, The Studio at Webster Hall, The Gibson Showroom, Best Buy, Borders, Tilles Center for the Performing Arts, The Harry Chapin Theatre, Dix Hills Performing Arts Center at Five Towns College, York College Performing Arts Center, Tony Bennett Concert Hall, Old Bethpage Village Restoration Theatre, Tavern on the Green, Birdland and Amityville Music Hall among others.

Bad Smell

Bad Smell finds popster chameleon Mr. Ray Fork cooking with drum powerhouse Jane Boxall to mix up generous portions of trance, whipped-cream 70's Europop, ass-head jazz and Casio Latin boogie.

At the core of Bad Smell are various vintage analog beat makers and synth machines, including the Hammond AutoVari (a machine that mashes and varies multiple beats, from Tango to Liverpool, together). Throw in Korg, vocoder, keyboards and live drumkit and you have the makings of Bad Smell.
